Syzygos has it's roots in ancient Greek and Latin. Syzygos means "yoked together", united by bonds of labor, business, or even marriage. In the Bible, the term is translated to fellow laborer and someone who helps other people with their difficulties. It is also the root of the modern English word syzygy, which is an astrological alignment of celestial bodies.
